The Bakers Arms
29 Logan Road, Woolloongabba QLD

Healthy & Wholesome

Venture into the Logan Road eating precinct of the Gabba and you’ll find The Bakers Arms tucked amongst some of Brisbane’s most well-known restaurants.

Originating out of a need for healthy, wholesome food driven by fresh produce and a desire to make all foods (be it sweet or savoury) in-house from scratch; the Bakers Arms is all about bringing back rustic and old-fashioned food that caters for everyone with a casual twist – dairy & gluten free, vegan or even the sweet tooth.

"We are proud of what we do and we all feel like we work on something special everyday."

Workplace Culture
Pure & Welcoming
We are all about reinvigorating a traditional and pure quality of service and product to our customers. We feel that this stems first from our ethos of providing fresh produce driven food, but just as importantly, from our people. We are passionate about what we do and share in a common belief of giving.

Passion for coffee is an absolute must in our workplace and we ensure our staff are armed with plenty of knowledge and information about our brand that they can pass on to our customers. Our company prides itself on promoting from within and we reward loyal staff with opportunities for career advancement and professional development.

Many of our staff have been with us for a number of years, but we also employ a number of students who are looking for something a bit more interesting and challenging than your average part time job.

Chirpy & Welcoming
We love people that are passionate in serving great coffee as well as taking pride in what they do. Having experience in hospitality (simple over-the-counter) is preferred, although you don’t need experience in organic foods. Being welcoming and confident in dealing with customers is something that we look; after all we are a laid-back and casual venue that welcomes everyone.

In the Bakery, we look for passionate people who love baking and have a sense of humour; qualifications not needed.
I originally started baking in Canada (Vancouver Island) after always wanting to bake - I love baking. Without "qualifications" as such, I thought that if I could bake every day and learn more I'd be able to get to where I want with baking. Another passion of mine is also food art.

My favourite places to travel would be Canada and Austria. The food is extremely advanced and fresh and its kept really almost to the natural state (the fact that the scenery is nice is also a plus). Like what we do here - everything is created from scratch.
