A Unique Pocket of Italy

As a sister to the established 1889 Enoteca restaurant, we opened with the mindset of cultivating a love of Italian cuisine. It’s all about serving traditional Italian food from all parts of the country. Everything is imported from Italy, down to the drinking water. We are a restoria and are aimed at a more casual dining experience where enjoying the environment is as important as the food itself.
The whole heart and soul of Locanda is to tell the Italian story where every detail contributes to the creation of a very unique pocket of Italy.

"Its good fun, interesting and you learn a lot."

Workplace Culture
Modern Italy
When you work within our team, you’ll come to see that we love Italy and its culture. We pride ourselves in superior quality produce, wine and food.
The cool thing is that we highlight this culture with a casual twist. We engage with our customers and take them on a journey of discovery. As such, there is lots of customer rapport building and we encourage our team to build deeper connections with our patrons. We all are in some way a gateway between the customer and Italy. We love to help bring together and match unfamiliar flavours and dishes to create something new and unique. The team is mostly young, but professional and almost like a big Italian family.

Management is organised and nurturing. We place a lot of emphasis on making sure all of our team are constantly learning and developing. We do different training every week and it’s something you keep with you forever.
Ideal Candidate
Proactive & Confident
We are always looking for people who have a passion for the Italian culture. Having a bit of experience on “the floor” is also preferable. You need to have a basic level of knowledge of Italian cuisine and/or have a desire and willingness to learn and discover.

We love people who are proactive, who are confident and have great communication skills; as there is lots of customer interaction and rapport building. If this sounds like you, and you want to join a lively team, drop in your resume.
Originally from Siena, Italy, I’ve been in Australia for 3 years, after being in London where I completed a degree in business. I absolutely love cooking and could spend days watching the cooking shows on the Lifestyle Channel. I always look forward to Masterchef and My Kitchen Rules.

Having grown up in Italy, I am a fan of all things Italian and of course that makes me friendly, easy to talk to and open. So if you're in the area, drop in and say ciao!
